Spring 2013 Writing Arts Video / Website Project
This semester was the first time that two interns, Heather Mallette and John McCormick, were working in cooperation on the project. By dividing labor between two interns we were able to accomplish many of our goals for the video as well as the website. The semester's work was focused on creating a website redesign that would eliminate the HTML5 elements from the previous iteration, specifically the fancy box elements, to allow for easier use across a variety of devices as well as a more familiar website experience for the overview of the major. The website work was primarily undertaken by John McCormick and was built using HTML and CSS almost exclusively in Adobe Dreamweaver. The project also aimed to continue the work of the previous interns in conducting student and professor interviews and editing the footage together into informative videos about specific courses. John McCormick and Heather Mallette conducted interviews to create a video about the Writing, Research & Technology course. All interviews were conducted by both interns, and the film editing was done by Heather Mallette using iMovie software.
